Alumni relations are of strategic importance to BUITEMS and we believe that our alumni are our best advocates. Directorate of University Advancement & Financial Assistance (UAFA) communicates with BUITEMS alumni and to keep them informed about various aspects of campus life, its progress and achieve ments, outreach and involvement with the world beyond campus using email, the Web, news media and direct, Facebook, phone calls, share publications and E-Newsletters etc.
BUITEMS Alumni Relations Office organized 2nd Alumni Homecoming 2016 under the theme “Many paths one Spirit” on May 19 2016. It was a full day event attended by more than 300
alumni from Pakistan & abroad. There were multiple activities throughout the day to keep them engaged and make it another memorable experience. The Alumni, faculty members and admin staff had lunch together. The alumni was given a visit to the different academic departments, labs, auditoriums, cricket ground and the sports complex to show them the progress of University.
The worthy Vice Chancellor Ahmed Farooq Bazai (S.I) was the chief guest of this mega event. Mr. Muhammad Shah Khan, Director (UAFA) welcomed the alumni and the respected guests. Manager Alumni Relations Syed Shah Muhammad and Executive Manager BBIEC Mr.Nisar Ahmed gave a brief introduction about the newly launched Alumni Online Portal. Alumni Online Portal was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Ahmed Farooq Bazai. The Vice Chancellor assured that this portal will continue to grow in content and functionality. The goal is to be a comprehensive source of news, information, fundraising and networking for alumni and industry as partners.
Those who attended the event gave their unfiltered perspective on how BUITEMS is doing and how it can improve more. Few from the Alumni shared their views, that how BUITEMS has given them a pattern and path to their respective organizations across the world.
At last the worthy Vice Chancellor Ahmed Farooq Bazai shared his views about the event, and appreciated the hardwork of Directorate of UAFA. He reiterated the role alumni are playing in society both nationally and internationally. He encouraged them to use the influence to direct the development of the society positively. He thanked all for their amazing support extended to the alma mater. The alumni were overwhelmed and overjoyed by seeing their old friend and teachers. The things
which make this jamboree a success is the upshot of actual hard work of organizing team UAFA.
Getting the positive feedback from BUITEMS Alumni, Team UAFA looks forward to more of such events in near future.
